Scope and Topics:

The first Symposium of this series was held in Goslar (Germany) in 1999, then it was held in Cracow (2001), Cincinnati (2003), Varna (2005), Valladolid (2007), Lexington (2009), Prague (2011), Mexico City (2013), Yerevan (2015). The series started around the core concept that symmetries underlie all descriptions of quantum systems. It has since evolved to a symposium on the frontiers of theoretical and mathematical physics. For more details on the history of the series, see QTS Homepage.
In the 10-th Symposium we foresee the following topics/sessions:

- Symmetries in String Theory, Supergravity, Quantum Gravity (1)
- Symmetries in Cosmology and Astrophysics (2)
- Gauge, Noncommutative, Conformal Field Theories (3)
- Integrable Systems (4)
- Quantum Computing, Information and Control (5)
- Foundations of Quantum Theory (6)
- Quantum Optics, Coherent States, Wigner Functions (7)
- Dynamical Systems (8)
- Symmetries in Statistical Physics (9)
- Symmetries in Condensed Matter Physics (10)
- Symmetries in Nuclear, Atomic and Molecular Physics (11)
- Symmetries in Chemistry, Biology and other Sciences (12)

(The above numbering is for (optional) use when filling the Registration form.)

Partially overlapping with the above topics, but on a more rigorous mathematical level and with strong participation of mathematicians, the symposium will include as a substructure the
12-th edition of the International Workshop "Lie Theory and Its Applications in Physics" (LT-12).
(For previous Workshops see: http://theo2.inrne.bas.bg/~dobrev/ .) The Workshop will be represented by several plenary speakers and parallel sessions on:

- Representation Theory (13)
- Infinite-Dimensional Lie Groups and Algebras (14)
- Algebraic Geometry and Number Theory (15)
- Superalgebras and Supergroups (16)
- Quantum Groups and Noncommutative Geometry (17)
- Special Functions (18)
- Symmetries of Linear and Nonlinear PDO (19)
- Methods of Mathematical Physics (20)

- Institute of Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy
- Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics   (Grants)
- International Association of Mathematical Physics

The work of the Symposium will be organized in five morning plenary sessions and four afternoons with several parallel sessions. Monday, 19 June, is the arrival day with registration the whole day. The talks start on Tuesday, 20 June, in the morning, and end on Saturday, 24 June, in the late afternoon. Thursday afternoon is free with organized excursion. Sunday, 25 June, is the departure day.

Conference Site and Travel:

The Conference will take place at the International House of Scientists "Frederic Joliot-Curie" (IHS) on the Black Sea coast near Varna.   (Varna is Bulgaria's third largest city and main naval port.)   The International House of Scientists is situated in the big international sea-side resort "St. Constantine and Elena" to the North-East of Varna. For a detailed map of the neighbourhood of the IHS click here or here. On these maps IHS is No 5, resp. No 42.
The most convenient way to travel from abroad is by plane to Varna airport. In the summer there are many regular (daily) flights to Varna from many European cities and regular daily flights from Sofia (Bulgaria's capital). The latter is connected with Europe's major cities by regular daily flights. Travel by train is to Varna railway station. The airport (railway station) is about 15 km (8 km) from the Conference site with direct bus connections. Detailed travel information is given (among other important things) in the FAQs button above.

Registration is closed. (deadline was 30 April 2017, extended to 10 May 2017)
